The end of September wound up with two great tech industry events for investors and start ups hosted by Capital Investment Network: Unthinkable Thursdays and Pitch & Mix 9.
Unthinkable Thursdays kicked off the end of the week with its very first event at Swans Brewpub. About 30 tech industry guests showed up to network over appetizers and a drink with views of the Johnson street bridge and peeks of the inner harbour. This newly instituted monthly event is about creating a network of start-ups and tech investors to come together to discuss our Vancouver Island tech community and local opportunities.
Capital Investment Networks Pitch & Mix 9 event took place the next day, Friday, September 27th, at City Hall. It showcased 8 exciting pitches from some of Victoria's top start-ups. Guests were treated to lunch and refreshments provided by Hotel Rialto as they listened closely and were privy to informative Q & A sessions in the unique and grand setting of Victoria’s City Hall chamber.

Special guest speaker Juan Orrego, Co-Founder and CEO at Cuboh, talked about their year and about their experience at the Y Combinator in Silicon Valley between pitches before lunch.
